I recently found a very good alternative to the ordinary TV/YouTube monotony out there: Google TechTalks
A Google TechTalk is usually a one hour presentation of technological topic. I personally find many of them very exciting, here is a list of talks I recently watched and liked:
- How To Design A Good API and Why it Matters: Something every software engineer should watch.
- Aspect Oriented Programming: Radical Research in Modularity: Maybe the future for Eiffel as well?
- How Open Source Projects Survive Poisonous People: Good to know how to react if it happens one day to oneself.
and one which does not require heavy thinking but very funny if you like the topic:
- Llamasoft And The Space Giraffe: Very interesting to see the progress in the last 25 years.
If you find other talks worthwhile mentioning feel free to add them as a comment.
