In 7.3 we are introducing an improved completion in the EiffelStudio editor. In addition to being able to see the feature name, feature signature, you will now be able to see the contracts of the routine as you can see in the screenshot below.

New 7.3 completion window

If you have any other suggestions we could do to improve the completion, let us know!

Our Linux version of EiffelStudio is compiled for Linux distributions made in 2003 (i.e. Linux kernel 2.6 and GNU C Library 2.3.3). The benefit is the guarantee that EiffelStudio will be running out of the box on all Linux platforms (assuming they are post 2003).

Since the 7.0 release of EiffelStudio, BIT types are almost gone. To be precise they are not completely gone but your code will not compile out of the box if you are still using them.

On May 31st 2012, the Origo website has ceased its existence. At Eiffel Software, we have migrated the subversion repositories that have a direct impact on us for the development of EiffelStudio. The new URL is https://svn.eiffel.com.

Coming up on December 3rd and 4th in Zurich, Switzerland, we will be hosting the second Eiffel Design Feast solely focused on the Web solution(s) for Eiffel. The first event back in June was a real success and we hope to achieve the same kind of results.

This time around we will be checking the results of the work since last time.
